Welcome to my webpage! I am an assistant professor of public administration at the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University, located in Miami. I am also an affiliated research fellow at the Center for Organizational Research & Design (CORD) at Arizona State University.

My research interest is in the management of government organizations, the functions and dysfunctions of performance systems, and the role of organizational behavior in improving public services. This includes work on performance information use, prosocial values, organizational social capital, and leadership behavior.

My research has been published in Administration & Society, American Review of Public Administration, International Public Management Journal, Public Administration, Public Administration Review, Public Performance & Management Review, and Review of Public Personnel Administration. I have received awards from the American Society for Public Administration and the Academy of Management.

Prior to joining FIU in 2013, I was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Potsdam (Germany) from which I received my Ph.D. in public administration in 2012 and my MPA in 2008.
